About Me

Hey folks! I’m Dick, and welcome to my slice of the online world where I share the ins and outs of living the RV dream. But before we dive into the nomadic lifestyle, let me take you on a quick trip down memory lane.

Born and raised on a sprawling five-hundred-acre vegetable farm in New Hampshire, my early years were all about wide-open spaces and hard work. That farm taught me the value of a day’s work, but as times changed, so did our ability to keep it alive. The challenge of finding enough hands to work the land eventually led us to make the tough decision to sell.

Not one to sit still, I shifted gears and jumped into the trucking business. If you think farming was an adventure, trucking took it to a whole new level. I’ve seen more of the country through a truck windshield than most do in a lifetime. My thirst for adventure didn’t stop there; I even spent five years working in the oil fields of North Dakota, braving the elements and the isolation that comes with it.

Now, I’ve traded the vast farmlands and the oil fields for the open road in a different way. My wife Diana and I, along with our two dogs and two cats, have set roots in Indiana. I’m still behind the wheel, driving a truck by day, but I’m back home every night, dreaming of the next adventure.

That’s where RV living comes into play. It’s not just a way of travel; it’s a lifestyle that offers freedom, flexibility, and a fair share of surprises (both good and… let’s just say, challenging). Through this blog, I aim to share with you not just the picturesque sunsets and scenic routes but also the real talk about what it takes to live, travel, and thrive in an RV.

Expect stories from the road, tips on the do’s and don’ts of RV living, and insights into making the most of this lifestyle. Whether you’re an experienced RV enthusiast or just curious about ditching the traditional for a life on wheels, there’s something here for you.

So, buckle up and join me on this journey. Let’s explore the roads less traveled, learn from each other, and build a community of adventurers who aren’t afraid to chase freedom, one mile at a time.
